However, as customer demand for convenience grew, Battery World saw an opportunity to shift from a strictly in-store service model to a mobile service approach—delivering batteries directly to customers’ locations.


Key Challenges


Despite the vision for a nationwide mobile service, several obstacles stood in the way:


  • Franchisee Resistance: Not all stores were eager to participate in the mobile service model.


  • Limited Service Hours: Some franchisees only offered mobile services during business hours (Mon-Sat, 8 AM-5 PM).


  • Territorial Constraints: Exclusive sales territories made it difficult to coordinate a seamless, nationwide service.


  • Scalability Issues: Battery World aimed to provide a 24/7 mobile service to increase sales and improve customer reach.

  • Stores could fully opt in, utilizing Eaco’s automated rostering system for 24/7 service availability.


Automated Job Allocation

  • Implemented a Post-A-Job widget, enabling customers to request service instantly.

  • Automated job assignment based on technician availability and coverage areas, ensuring rapid response times.
